For visiting scholars, VIPs, and Penn affiliates, Sansom Place and Left Bank accommodations offer attractive, furnished, short-term and extended-stay accommodations at the heart of campus.

Sansom Place Guest Accommodations
3600 Chestnut Street

All accommodations are air-conditioned, carpeted and include basic bed and bath linens, television with complimentary cable and complimentary local and on-campus phone service. There is a one-week minimum stay, though the general length of stay is at least a few months.

Rooms
Private bedroom featuring a twin, extra-long bed; sharing a bathroom with one other private bedroom. Amenities include microwave/microfridge.

Private Apartments
One-bedroom apartments with two, twin, extra-long beds, private bath, and living space with a kitchenette that includes a microwave.

Suites
One-bedroom apartments with one queen or two, twin, extra-long beds, private bath, and living space featuring a kitchenette equipped with dishes, kitchen utensils, and some small appliances. Bed and bath linens are provided for two guests per suite. Light housekeeping services are provides for suites on a weekly basis, including dusting, vacuuming, trash removal and linen change to make your stay even more comfortable.

Additional Service Details

Reception and Security: The front desk is staffed from 9 a.m. until midnight to provide general information and emergency assistance. Security personnel monitor residence entrances on a 24-hour basis.

Telephone Service: Campus courtesy phones are available in the lobby. One telephone is provided in each room or suite. Guests must use a calling card for long distance/international calls, and provide their own answering machines, should they choose to do so.

Convenient on-site coin-operated laundry facilities

Recreational facilities: Recreational facilities consisting of swimming pools, squash courts, indoor and outdoor tennis courts, free and universal weights, aerobic and exercise equipment, steam and sauna rooms are all available to guests for a nominal fee through Athletics.
