Intern Housing 2008 (SOLD OUT)

Conference Services is pleased to offer lodging in a furnished and air-conditioned residence hall for college students from other universities who will be participating in a research program at Penn or internships in the Philadelphia area.

Room Information

Residents will stay in multi-occupancy guest suites and will have a private bedroom. Each bedroom is equipped with one set of the following items: extra-long twin bed, desk, desk chair, lamp, and dresser. Due to space constraints, any additional furniture is discouraged. The following items are not provided: sheets, pillows, blankets, towels, soap (laundry, dish, and bath), wastebasket, hamper, alarm clock, phone or computer.  Although we cannot guarantee a kitchen in your summer assignment, we do recognize your desire for one and will do our best to assign you in a room with a kitchen.

Housing Dates

Internship Housing is available on a weekly basis from May 28, 2008 through August 15, 2008. There is a four week minimum stay.  Unfortunately, we are no longer accepting applications for housing.

Room Rates

$195.00 per person, per week for a private bedroom in a shared living space, no guarantee of kitchen.

$220.00 per person, per week for a private bedroom in a shared living space, guaranteed kitchen.
$290.00 per person, per week for a private appartment.

Please note that suites are shared by members of the same gender. Up to four people will share the bathroom, living room and kitchen (if applicable) areas.

2. Complete Online Application & Submit Payment

Please note that full payment is due upon submission of online application.

Currently, we are not accepting any additional Intern housing applications.   



3. Fax Sponsorship Letter A letter from the company or sponsoring organization is required before you can begin occupancy. Please have the letter faxed on company letterhead to 215.573.8452 within 3 days of submitting your application. Click Here to See an Example
4. Email Penn Card Photograph

(If Necessary)

A PennCard is required for access to the building. A PHOTO MUST BE SUBMITTED. A $25 fee will be charged for your PennCard upon submitting your online application.

Upon filling out the online application a confirmation email will be sent to you. Please reply to that email with your photo. (It should be saved “last name.first name” i.e. Jones.Dave.) Photos should be received within 3 days of filling out the application.

Phone Service  - If you would like telephone service, there will be a form available at the Information Center of your dormitory to guide you through the process that will be available on the day of your move-in.
