Audio/Visual Equipment and Technical Support
We provide three levels of technology services for your contracted event, depending on your group's needs: Self, Bookend, and Full. The level of support provided is based on:
- Access to technology
- Complexity of the equipment of event
- Type of organization
- Level of equipment security and maintenance required
Self: Available only for use with the least complicated installed equipment. It is available only to responsible, repeat, Penn users at the discretion of Confernce Services and their partners. The user may be required to complete an initial training session.
Bookend Service: Provided at a nominal cost to the organization. Equipment is set up in the room prior to the event, and the user receives a brief explanation/training on equipment usage. If a technician does not have to operate the equipment, the organization is charged only for pre and post set-up at roughly two hours.
Full Service: Required for certain types of events, at the expense of the sponsoring organization. A technician is present for the entire event to set up, operate, and secure equipment. The organization is charged for the entire time the audio-visual technician is scheduled.
